Typical time-spans to recover mentally from drugs and alcohol abuse? - can you recover mentally from marijuana use
I marijuana for 14 years. I am now almost 17 (June 19). I quit smoking weed 18th January 2009.
And if I smoke pot, I started smoking really shitty things. With a regular smoker of marijuana with weeds, which experienced a lot of time, waste was. if I have a lot of good things, smoked, I want you, the bad image that might affect me worse.
If a super manic-depressive person drank about 4-5 bottles of strong beer (32, S 40, Oz) every day for month.
the same applies here, I took things very bad for the King Cobras.
Bud Lights and w / s. .. Sometimes things go really well, like New Castle.
I went to. In the days drunk. I have also tried to smoke meth once. I decided not prepared myself for something like that, so I have the strength to resist again.
It was very difficult. I have a few close friends advise me and tell me the first few months are the hardest.
I do not need REHAb, and I recently tested for city bands to listen to music with an activity that is more positive than drugs and alcohol.
Advertising is trying what was Iv'e since he 14th
Hallucinate often smoking salvia
Often, marijuana
Methamphetamine, once
Alcohol often
I just want to meet someone with similar experiences .. I read in some websites (I can not find) about the long-term use and these people are not brain full or nearly full-back.
Please give me ideas .. It would be very grateful .. and I'm sober.

Sounds like self-medication. Its okay, you Arent the first to do. I'm not holier than thou, or not blame me, but I can tell you from personal experience. It takes three years for his spirit of drug and alcohol addiction again ......... Only the basic physical and mental. There may be more time! Be patient, pray much, and go to a meeting of AA or NA. Here you will find a good counsler that includes your entire situation. It is a very common diagonosis doubled. Please, please, do not fall into drugs and drinking habits ...... will kill you and love U. U are still too young. I have for all drugs of my teenage years .... my brain is damaged a little. The memory is bad.
I know someone who is on drugs and alcohol (addicted for 15 years this year 43). I was called in and out of rehabs over 15 times. What I realized that his life was never all about drugs and alcohol. He has just learned that it is time to stop and let them ruin your life and the lives of those they loved. I always drink alcohol, but not so much. He takes medication for anxiety and depression, and helps care for some of the negative feelings that it first the first time. To answer your question, my friend is not the same person I was when I saw him in the twenties. He now has liver damage and is not as fast as mentally, when we met. He does not think that things are as clear as in the past. However, it is still able to take decisions and has the ability to think clearly, if you really put your mind. Prolonged use of drugs and alcohol have really taken their toll on him. But fortunately, it has no drugs he was serious and gradually getting his life back. He said he had only thaat MAKNot accept the election, the will to use and replace it with something else. Maybe you could try a hobby or music, as you said that you enjoyed. Good luck.
