Safe / non-toxic kitchen equipment? - silverware storage

I am a make-over and would like to kitchen appliances to buy safe and harmless. Recently I learned that it is better to use enameled cast iron cookware, stainless steel pots and utensils, storage containers for glass and porcelain.

Other suggestions / ideas / comments that will help me, my ideal new kitchen, preparing healthy meals would be greatly appreciated.
